Ranger Clement Ross
was born on September 14, 1961, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and raised in Mentor, Ohio, where his father established a dental practice. The oldest of four children, he left high school without graduating in 1979 and joined the U.S. Army in 1980. Over the next several years, he completed Airborne School, Ranger School, Jungle Operations Training in Panama, and Pathfinder School, earning his GED along the way.
